Her background includes more than 10 years of leadership experience and over 18 years of clinical experience in primary and secondary cardiac prevention, outpatient chronic disease management and wellness/health program development and management.
Leslie has extensive experience working in numerous interdisciplinary clinical settings - in hospitals, academic medical centres, community health centres, executive health clinics, family health teams and universities giving her a deep understanding of healthcare in all areas of Ontario and uniquely positioned to help find unique solutions to its challenges.
Leslie was raised in Chatham, Ontario and holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics (Honors Movement Science) from the University of Windsor. While at Windsor, Leslie also played for the University of Windsor Varsity Women’s Basketball Team continuing her love of athletics that started at the age of 6 competing in provincial level gymnastics.
Leslie is a Registered Kinesiologist (R.Kin) and received her industry designation by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist.
Leslie is also a Certified Wellness Coach and is continuing her love of counselling, mental health and coaching by completing her Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
When Leslie is not hard at work in her role for MyVIEW, she is thoroughly enjoying her role as wife and busy mother to two amazing and very active daughters.
Leslie also enjoys spending time with her large Dutch family, traveling, playing basketball, performing pilates and strength training and trying to get to back to triathlons.
